The people of Scotland are kind, generous, caring and considerate – they’ve got a big heart. They’ve also played an instrumental part in the success of Bighearted and continue to do so.

Fundraising has always been crucial to our long-term viability and the day-to-day work of our charities. It was the reason why Bighearted Charitable Trust was formed in 1994 when five like-minded charities recognised they’d raise more money for their respective causes by working together.

Today, the focus of Bighearted has shifted to payroll giving. This has proved instrumental in helping us raise over £1 million to date and make life-changing interventions in areas including epilepsy, exclusion, animal protection, disability, cancer and mental health.
